James Burley was born in 1970 and has drawn quite a lot since then. James is a published cartoonist who also writes comedy for radio and animation with work broadcast nationwide and internationally via the BBC. He is also a voiceover artiste and radio character actor. More recently he has been commissioned to illustrate buildings and landscapes and some examples of these are shown. The Gordon Valiant and Gus Anderson images are development characters for an up and coming website (www.gordonvaliant.com) about a detective in love with his bicycle; a sort of cross between Dick Barton, Dirty Harry and Lance Armstrong.  Imagine that! Other images on this site are simply works in progress; although James is working on a Robot Dad postcard book. Other examples of James’ work can be viewed at www.spewmytales.com and on series two of Creature Comforts by Aardman animations where he worked as a character designer.
